With the Kia Ceed Sportswagon, the Koreans presented the new estate version of their compact model in 2018. We present the engines including new plug-in hybrids and the equipment!
The Kia Ceed Sportswagon (2018)stands at 16,990 euros at the dealer and has compared to its predecessor on a larger drive range and a more modern equipment. The exterior design features a modified grille in the typical “Tigernose” style, as well as more distinctive front and rear bumpers, making the wagon more robust and voluminous. There are various engines to choose from, including a 1.4-liter naturally aspirated engine with 100 hp, a 1.0-liter T-GDI with 120 hp and a turbo petrol engine with 1.4 liters and 140 hp. In addition, the station wagon is also available with a new 1.6-liter diesel engine, which has a torque of 280 Newton meters and offers either 115 or 136 hp. All Kia Ceed Sportwagon (2018) powertrains are standardly coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox. The 1.4-liter T-GDI and the 1. 6 CRDi 136 also a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission available. An all-new plug-in hybrid will also be added to the portfolio in 2020: a 1.6-liter gasoline direct injection engine, a 44.5 kW electric motor and an 8.9 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery are working together here. The result is 141 hp and 265 Newton meters system performance, a sprint of 10.8 seconds to 100 and up to 60 kilometers pure electric range.

The Kia Ceed Sportswagon (2018) has a larger trunk volume, which surpasses many D-segment station wagons with a capacity of up to 600 liters. In addition, the station wagon has a modern infotainment system that can be connected via Apple CarPlay and Android car with the smartphone. The assistance systems include a high-beam assistant as standard, a fatigue warning device, an active lane departure warning system and an emergency brake assist with pedestrian detection. Depending on the particular version, the Kia Ceed Sportswagon (2018) can drive autonomously up to level 2, park automatically, keep the lane, accelerate and decelerate on its own.
